Woolrich Woolen Mills - Spring / Summer 2012 Collection
The SS12 collection is a marked step on from the fledgling McNairy range from Autumn/Winter ’11, with the former J. Crew designer putting his own stamp on an exceptional range of outerwear, shirting and legwear. There is a strong focus on the use of premium archive fabrics, which sees Cone Mills denim and a SaxPop cotton/nylon mix – inspired by the famous 60/40 fabric – used throughout the range, and a muted, tonal palette of navy, burgundy and khaki that is prevalent across the collection. As with all previous WWM collections, SS12 explores new levels of functionality, and this is particularly apparent in the novel Newspaper Pocket Shirt, a modern interpretation of the classic workshirt, that showcases the McNairy eye for detail perfectly.
